Boracay Chow!

Oh Yes! Boracay offers a gastronomical feast! You'll find a host of restaurants and eateries that offer a variety of dishes—from simple grilled island fare to fusion dishes. All of Boracay’s restaurants are sure to be serving some of the best food you have ever had the pleasure to eat.

Bottom line: Your taste buds definitely won't get "marooned" on this island.

Must-try's for your palate while in the island of Boracay!

Bite Club Burgers - This is not to be confused with any other fast food burger joint that can be found just anywhere. What sets them apart from all the rest is the sheer enormity in size of the burgers that they serve and you get to choose toppings for your burger! Amazing right?!

Among the toppings you can choose from are Blue Cheese Cream (My personal favorite!!!), Cajun-style Spicy Sauce, Caramelized Onions (This one too), Cheddar Cheese Sauce, Chunky Mushroom and Cheese, Creamy Cheddar, Grilled or Fresh Onions, Hickory-smoked BBQ Sauce, Mushroom Pepper, Roasted Garlic and Cheese, and Wasabi & Teriyaki Sauce.

Oh dear!
Price would also vary depending on the season (I honestly dont know why they do that, but anyway) . So I was here during it's peak season (January-early June) , I would always recommend what they claim to be the biggest burger on the island... The Triple X burger. January 2012, I paid P285 for it. Summer, April 2013, I paid P400 and some change, that's around 10 bucks! Still not bad for a delectable over-sized burger. Weee!

For reservations, Bite Club Burgers can be reached by phone at 63-36-288-5947.

Lemon i Cafe - One of my favorite places to eat in #Boracay is Lemon i Cafe . It’s hard to put my finger on it. It’s just....awesome. Their baguette and ciabatta bread sandwiches are simply amazing. A steak sandwich on a French baguette with caramelized Maui onions, anyone?

And don’t miss their large scrumptious salads! Take note of the word, LARGE. ha ha. The experience isn’t limited to the food. Thoughtful presentation and excellent service also go above and beyond. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, no matter when you stop in, you will surely find something amazing waiting for you. I'd always have the Bell pepper Risotto with Tarragon and Tomato Cream Dory for P340.
Stuggling to be a Pesco-Vegan!

Their bakery is most famous for producing the yummiest cakes, pies, and pastries on the island. And if you want to complete a celebration with a cake, Lemon Cafe makes custom cakes for any occasion. Minimum 24 hours notice is required for such request. Food price ranges from P150-P550 per dish.

For reservations, Lemon Cafe can be reached by phone at 63-36-288-6781-82.

Jammers - Placed at Station 2 where D'Mall is. This is my breakfast site with very accomodating staff and is near the Beachfront! I was actually surprised at first when asked if I smoke (obviously, I do, my pack is like on the table! duh?! but I can't because of the island's no smoking on the beach policy), so I said "Yeah", the waitress just smiled and placed an ashtray. I was like, "Oh, I thought we weren't allowed to smoke here?", she responded, "As long as you're our customer, you'll be fine"-in the vernacular/tagalog. What!? Anyway, just sharing, nuff of my smoking dialogue, let's talk food!

Jammers may have been the first fastfood restaurant on Boracay. Run by a New Yorker dubbed Boracay’s first lifelong tourist, they serve burgers, hotdogs, fish n’ chips and other goodies 24 hours a day. Jammers is a great place to stop and have a bite after a late night taste of the Boracay Party scene and a glorious Boracay breakfast.

The restaurant is best known for its fine selection of international cuisines. There's Asian, American and European food treats you can order here. But one you should not fail to try out is the Monster Burger and breakfast sets.

Im'ma have American Breakfast!
New dishes are being added to the menu, so old and new customers will always have something new to look forward to as well as price changes. The breakfast I usually order is for P160. Greasy morning food is the best! ha ha.

Fishbar - This resto in Boracay is another one of the better known dining places on the island. Apart from its tasty treats, the atmosphere in the place has a lot to do with what makes it tick. The place does not face the beach, but it is very close to many of the popular establishments on the island.

The restaurant serves up different types of food, but its specialty is definitely seafood. Probably its best known treat is the Beer Batter Fish and Chips. This classic dish is a favorite among their old customers and gains favor with new ones very quickly, myself obviously included. In three visits over the past years I have not had a bad meal here. The fish and chips at least is served in the proper way, one big slab of crispy beer-battered fish over a basket of big chips, not like so many fish and chips plates in Manila where they basically serve you a bunch of crumbed fish fingers. This is a must-try!
It’s not the best choice of food to eat if you're on a calorie-controlled diet! ha ha
The menu seems to be Aussie-influenced as well, as they offer chicken schnitzels and chicken parmies too, and a rather unusual smoked fish curry rice plate that I thought was interesting. Overall, a decent deal on an island where it is not exactly difficult to find a mediocre, yet overpriced meal. The food price range is from P200.00 – P500.00 and has huge servings. Again, HUGE.

Cyma - Located on a side alley of D Mall, its family style portions also make it great for group meals. Best to call and reserve ahead as its cozy size can get extremely busy.

Authentic Greek cuisine in the island. Try their famous Spinach and Artichoke Fondue or Flaming Saganaki (cheese) appetizers (its basically just cheese that they light on fire, but the whole lighting something on fire was cool enough to order it), Greek salad, Chicken Gyros, or one of the mouth-watering lamb dishes, and the potatoes served with it were to die for - but really, anything you try will lead your taste buds to flavor heaven! Oh, and my all time favorite.... Moussaka!
Last time I had it, it was for P235. So yummy!

CHEAP EATS can be found at the D'Mall strip or Talipapa area. Just try walking around and check their menu. Here are some of the fastfood resto's and food stalls that can be found in the area.
