Chinese New Year 2013 in the Philippines

It's the Year of the Water Snake as Binondo starts dressing up for the Chinese New Year, Lunar New Year or also called their Spring Festival  this Sunday, February 10, 2013. Everyone of course is free to visit and join the party.

I'm planning of going there this weekend...
well, to eat! Im pretty sure chinese food and delicacies' all over the place, and since it's also a commercial district, might as well shop for some lucky stuff! Oh and here's a restaurant my mom takes me after circling Binondo for her lucky charms... Manosa!!!

Just perfect and authentic! The place may not be that appealing or all fancy but wait til you get those taste buds loaded! Make sure to also bring your appetite coz it's not just the taste of the food, but it's also because of it's affordable price!
Here goes their Pancit Guisado! This is what me and my mom religiously eat here. It won't be a complete Ongpin experience without this. I dont know if it's weird, but we actually put hot sauce in it.
                                                           More Chinese Food!!!

Siopao!!!
Another favorite! Fried Siopao!!!
What's also exciting about this festival is the Traditional Chinese music played in most of the shops... I feel like floating, flying then doing splits and high kicks! But it really is relaxing, walking along the streets of Ongpin with that sweet and fascinating music,  then suddenly you hear loud drum beats! Haa Yah!!! Time for the Dragon and Lion dance!!! They're everywhere!!!

Gong Xi Fa Cai! Hong Bao Na Lai!!!

Hong Bao Na Lai!!!

Hong Bao Na Lai!!!

Hong Bao Na Lai!!! :)
