It's the Year of the Water Snake as Binondo starts dressing up for the Chinese New Year, Lunar New Year or also called their Spring Festival  this Sunday, February 10, 2013. Everyone of course is free to visit and join the party.

I'm planning of going there this weekend...

Sand Bar Island Beach, Concepcion, Iloilo 2013 - with Travel Guide

Attempting to do a handstand... 10 sec self timer... Goodluck to me!

A very peaceful and quiet island, now a popular destination when visiting Iloilo. Guimaras may be a good option when you're just around the city. But in Bulubadiangan, Concepcion, there's this island with pristine waters on both sides of a shifting sand bar, tourists, foreign and local, now trying to add this location as part of their itinerary when going to Iloilo. Just about any non-motorized water activity can be done here... like handstands and cartwheels, hehe

Dinagyang Festival 2013, Iloilo

A great start for the New Year! Party and watched the Dinagyang Festival! Oh, did I mention I have a media pass for it? Sweet right!? Not only did I get front row access to the perfomance stage, I also got an "unintentional-unoccupied" VIP/front row seat (I didn't purchase the seat though, but no one seems to be taking it.. so I sat comfortably... Shhhsh..). Nuff said. :)

Anyway, here are some pics from the competition at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol, 2nd performance stage.

A Quick Visit: Mactan, Cebu

Hotel Bella Vista/Bellavista in Mactan,Cebu is one of the hotels you'll find near the airport. A comfortable venue especially if you're one who's just planning of having an overnight stay and has a flight the next morning (Like me).
I believe normal room rates range from P1,500-P3,000 depending on the type of guest room/suite you'll be taking. The room's decent and staff was very accomodating

So Peaceful in Guimaras... Too Peaceful!!!

Guimaras is a place where you can relax and enjoy the picturesque beaches, islets and all sorts of flora. It is rung with undiscovered beaches and great snorkel spots. One of the smallest islands in the Philippines and the primary route to get here is through Iloilo. 15 mins motorboat from Ortiz wharf in downtown Iloilo City.

My First Ever Dinagyang Festival 2012

What comes to mind when you hear ILOILO... well, VIVA SENOR STO. NINO! Yes, this is where one of the biggest Festivals happen. It's one of the most colorful and lively presentations honoring their patron. Prayers and offerings are interpreted in fast body movements which definitely shows it's cause to celebrate.
