Photo Essay: Burot Beach, Calatagan, Batangas - Summer 2014

I will add details in a bit. :) More photos here
I know! Another quick getaway just afew hours away from the metro. Don't you just love the country?! BTW, I have an updated 2015 Burot post >>> read here

No need to file vacation leaves for this because a days' trip is already worth it. But of course, since you're there anyway - might as well go for a nights' stay.

Make sure to bring food and supplies. There's no hotel and fancy restrooms to accomodate your needs. Again, it's a beach not a resort (about to become a private location - so visit the place now). The bus will drop you near the market. So before you take the tricycle going to the beach. Buy everything there as it is cheaper and convenient.

Getting closer to the beach. The road on your way to the beach is rough and really, really dusty especially when there's a vehicle ahead. Prepare a mask or something to cover your nose and mouth with if you don't want to go on a coughing spree by the time you reach your destination.

The beach gets crowded during weekends. Again, it's a weekend so that's expected. Water's calm and clear. Non-sting "jellies" jellyfish swim freely and occasional urchins show up -  thus, wear your aquashoes or slippers.

As I was saying about the restroom... Tadaah!
Don't expect much, it's a public restroom, so if you're the type who can't survive without a fancy and clean restroom, the place is just not for you. You will also need the patience when you're about to take a shower because the line is a "blockbuster hit". You will have to fall in line when you're going to wash up. In my case however, since we bought 6 liters of distilled drinking water - well, I used it for my bath.

Now for the hotel... well, NO hotel. You get to either choose to rent a table or a tent. Pardon our messy tent.

Time to go home!
